John Stuart Reid is an English acoustics engineer who has studied cymatics since 1999. Reid was the first to use cymatics to reveal the resonances inherent within the Great Pyramid's sarcophagus, in Egypt. He is author of "Egyptian Sonics" in which he discusses his results. He is co-inventor of the CymaScope, the world's first commercial instrument that can make sound visible, and is currently working with an international team of scientists to help decipher dolphin language by creating a lexicon of picture words. He lives and works in the English Lake District with his wife and co-researcher, Annaliese.
