Shirley Whalley
Shirley is experienced in working with groups in social services/health settings, and in the community.

She has a particular interest in accessible playing with sound, and to that end facilitates SOUNDCIRCLE groups where the emphasis is on everyone giving and receiving sound. Also she focuses on the effect of sound on the body and exploration of simple listening – to ourselves and others, the world around us and the deep relaxation which is possible when we allow ourselves to put aside limiting beliefs and allow our creativity.

All the instruments (singing bowls, percussion, shruti, voice) require no musical training – the main focus is relaxation and to have fun together. At present Shirley facilitates a weekly group in Macclesfield (UK) and occasional workshops in various settings and enjoys collaborating with other practitioners.
