Zen and Blues meet in a quiet deep emotional dialogue of electric guitar and rhodes piano Zen Blues came to us as a complete surprise.
It is exactly what the name suggests: Zen - time, meditation, reflection, Blues - passion, emotion, feeling. This is the first Blue Star album without rhythm section.
It is only electric guitar and fender rhodes piano on a journey to the inner spaces.
For us it was always clear, that the blues is much more than "cryin' in my beer". Zen as well is nothing that hides behind the walls of a monastery.
Zen music and the blues are both rooted in pentatonic scales. But this album is not about scales - it is about the wide open landscapes of both the inner and the outer world.It makes you feel good. Very good!
Listen to the soundclips. But be warned: You might want it. That's why we call it Electro Magnetic Music. Addictive!
