Shamanic Sound Therapy private sessions - a new transcultural sound based psychotherapy based upon the worldwide use in indigenous cultures, to produce extraordinary states of consciousness that can induce a transpersonal experience. The use of sound or music plays an important role in producing altered states of consciousness in shamanistic rituals.
This experience offers a unique opportunity for integration, and can lead to not only a new awareness, but an enhanced well being of the mind/body complex. This is much more than a shamanic journey which most westerners are familiar with, but an enhanced first hand experience incorporating acousmatic theory combined with a indigenous sound approach. Created by Mitch Nur, PhD who is one of North America's leading sound therapists and teachers. He has trained hundreds of students worldwide in the use of indigenous instruments to facilitate transformation, including Dr. Mitchell L. Gaynor, the best-selling author of " The Healing Power of Sound." Many of today's sound healing teachers throughout the USA have studied or trained with him.
