UK, AVEBURY - Earth Day Sing for the Trees , Bards of Avalon, Avebury, 22 Apr 2014
April 22nd is Earth Day, a day to reflect on our relationship with the planet and express our love, appreciation and respect for her.
This is a day for our renewed commitment to the environment. Using our collective heart focus, we can hold the vision and set the intent of pristine restoration to the air, waters, land and all flora and fauna on Earth.
We’ve been guided to the ancient sacred stones of Avebury to host a variety of activities throughout the day.
We’ll be using voice, drums, crystal bowls, gongs, Himalayan bowls and a variety of percussion instruments, together with meditation and spaces for reflection. Bea and David will be joined by Adrian Mieras and Helen Keeley of the Avebury Heart Centre.
This is a co-creative event, so please bring any musical instruments, poetry, art, crystals, flowers, sacred water etc as you feel inspired.
The day comprises three main events:
1. Sing for the Trees ceremony at 12 noon.
2. Sound and meditation event between 2.00pm and 4.30pm.
3. Unify global linkup meditation at 6.00pm.
11.45 am - Meet in the Red Lion pub car park
12 noon – Sing for the Trees Ceremony in Beech Grove, Avebury
1.00 pm – Lunch break (please bring a packed lunch or food is available at the Red Lion pub and National Trust Café.)
2.00 pm – Avebury Social Centre (Village Hall)
Activities include:
• Elemental transmissions
• Earth gong meditation
• Crystal bowl transmissions
• Meditations
6.00 pm – Unify linkup meditation in Avebury Moon Cove
Activities include:
• Earth gong
• Peace Across the Planet meditation
• Water ceremony
Cost: Ceremonies are free. Afternoon event in Village Hall is £10.00 which includes refreshments of tea, coffee and herbal teas.
Parking is available at the National Trust car park and the Red Lion pub car park.
