James D'Angelo empowers people to use their voices purposely for self-transformation. His work, strongly rooted in Eastern spiritual tradition, consists of running our energy system, known as the chakras, to relieve stress, clear away negative emotions and characteristics, achieve mental clarity and heighten awareness. To this end he focuses on toning vowels, consonants and syllables which act as sacred sounds and mantras. Complementary to these practices are working with the Taoist healing sounds and movements and various sound rituals such as humming and laughter. Simple movements are sometimes brought into play.
James is the author of The Healing Power of the Human Voice and Seed Sounds for Tuning the Chakras. He has been conducting his ever-evolving courses since 1994 in the UK, Europe and the USA and is recognized as a leading authority on the various practices of sound healing.
