The purpose of this weekend training is to look at the following topics and cover them in depth so that practitioners feel confident and knowledgeable. 1. Singing Bowls: An in- depth practical session to complement the previously demonstrated therapy session in December. Using bowls both on and off the body. whether sitting or lying down. 2. Conch, Tingshas and Bells: Demonstration of their use in sound therapy. 3. Paiste 'Sound Creation' Gong Series: Demonstration and hands-on playing of the Earth, Moon, Sun, Water, Fire and Peace gongs. 4. Ancillary Gong Bath Instruments: Revisiting the use of feathers, rattles, bird whistles, Peruvian whistling vessels, bells, Shruti box and voice in the Gong Bath. 5. Space Clearing: Using gongs, conchs, bowls, bells and tingshas. 6. Marketing: An open discussion on ways to market one's skills and services. 7. Participation in a gong bath: Performing in a gong bath. Training is hosted by Aidan McIntyre who has been playing gongs for over two decades around the world and who works extensively with Grand Gong Master Don Conreaux. The course is designed for students already playing the gong who have had some training and wish to advance their technique and gain greater understanding and knowledge of this ancient and most powerful of sound instruments. The Gong has the capacity to erase all conceptions and thus it can also transform all conditions. Aidan will examine the alchemy of the gong and how to work with the Gong's frequencies as a way to expand and shift consciousness. He will discuss the art and science of the Gong's depth, range and power to alter and shift time and space in individual sessions, Sound Therapy, Meditation, yoga, concerts, personal practice and gong baths. There is accommodation (please ask for the list) locally and lunch is provided on Saturday and Sunday.
