Sound Healing goes back many centuries and both the voice and tuning forks have been used to heal. But in recent years, gongs have started to be used for this purpose with surprising results. This talk, by local percussionist and Sound Healer Phil McNamara will cover •history of gongs •making of gongs •a brief explanation of how sound healing and relaxation with gongs works •experience a short ‘gong bath’ where you are encouraged to close your eyes, relax and let the sound ‘wash’ over you. •You will also have the opportunity to play some of these exotic instruments.
