Description
A "waterfall" of white that chimes in the breeze. Thirty-nine capiz cascade down from a coconut wood top. Brown accents add to the effect.
Capiz are farmed in Indonesia and every bit is used. The pieces are carefully sorted, dried, sliced, shaped, sanded and dyed. Strung together with strong, invisible, nylon cord, the thin, flat translucent pieces provide luminous colour.
In the 1500s, capiz were used as windowpanes in houses; now they are used in all sorts of home decorations, including lamp shades and vases and (of course) windchimes!
This "wave" of capiz was hand-crafted with pride by craftsmen of Bali. It mixed square and round capiz and intersperse brown accent shells for contrast and interest. The gentle sound of the capiz created when the wind blows makes wonderful background music for your garden.
Suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
