Schlagwerk Cajonito
Schlagwerk Cajonito
Date Added: Tuesday 27 May, 2008
Our Price: £48.00

Schlagwerk Percussion is expanding its innovative, high-quality, yet at the same time practical, range of wooden percussion instruments with the Cajonito.
The Cajonito is a percussion instrument that is easy to handle and can be universally used. It is mainly played in a seated position with the the instrument clamped between the legs.
So that the Cajonito holds better, its sides are covered with an anti-slip coating.
In a second playing variation, the Cajonito is placed securely on the thighs. A muffling pad is included with delivery. This is placed between the thighs and the Cajonito to prevent unwanted slipping of the instrument.
A third playing technique is to clamp the Cajonito under one arm.
Hint: While doing this, you can also create an interesting wah-wah-effect with the sound hole.
Because of its compact size, this instrument can also be quickly placed in a percussion setup on a Conga etc.

Muffling Pad
The muffling pad inside the Cajonito has two functions.
a) It helps to create a more powerful sound and to minimise unwanted vibrating of the opposite playing surface and
b) it guarantees that the Cajonito rests securely on your legs/thighs while being played. To do this, the pad is placed between the legs and the instrument.

If the Cajonito is turned around, in order to change between snare and Quinto sounds, the pad automatically falls on the underlying, unused playing surface.

Size: 29.5 x 21 x 15 cm.
