Sarah Verney Caird
SARAH VERNEY CAIRD is a music therapist, body worker and performer, who uses creative improvisation, voice and touch to facilitate personal release and healing.

She is currently chair of the council at The Abbey, Sutton Courtenay, a centre devoted to the spiritual transformation of individuals and their communities. Her work is informed by the resonance of inner sound and silence and her unwavering belief in mankind’s need for this deep reconnection as a path to peace and well-being.

As a Music Therapist: Sarah was a clinician, tutor and supervisor for over 20 years at the Nordoff Robbins Centre in London, pioneering work as personal music therapist to students in training. She now has a private practice in Oxford for adults suffering from life problems relating to stress, trauma and world-weariness. Sarah also runs music groups for people suffering from Dementia, their carers and families.

As a Musician: Sarah studied piano and flute at the Royal College of Music in London. She enjoys performing regularly as a singer and pianist in events ranging from opera to light entertainment as well as improvisation.
