UK, BRISTOL - Monthly Kirtan at Bristol City Yoga, Tim Chalice, Bristol City Yoga, 16 Backfields Lane, Bristol, BS2 8QW, 26 Apr 2019

Join Tim Chalice and friends for more beautiful evenings of Kirtan at Bristol City Yoga on Friday 26th April.

By repeating simple mantras Kirtan (devotional chanting) is an effortless and very joyful way to experience some freedom from the endless chatter of the mind, revealing a graceful state of being and inner peace.

The moment we begin to chant there is a feeling of letting go, a deepening of the breath and a sense of coming home. We can let go of the doership and simply be in the present. While focussing on these repetitive sounds our thoughts begin to recede. When the chants end, we can bathe in the silence that remains. Feelings of fear, anger and separation are gently transformed into feelings of love, compassion and Oneness.

Kirtan is for everyone. No prior experience of chanting is necessary to gain the many benefits it has to offer, simply an openness to what may occur. Whether you wish to quiet your mind, awaken your heart, de-stress or simply enjoy singing with ot

UK, BRISTOL - Harmonium Workshop, Tim Chalice, The Light House, 145 Robertson Road, Eastville, Bristol, BS5 6LB, 27 Apr 2019

This experiential and fun workshop is aimed at those new and relatively new to the harmonium with the aim of being able to play and sing Kirtan chants. This might be for your own personal practice, to share with your family or, in time, to lead a public Kirtan.

To begin the workshop we will spend a short while getting to know the instrument and learning how to navigate the keyboard as smoothly and easily as possible. We will look at the different ways of playing the harmonium and learn about playing chords and also chord inversions which can make life a lot easier for us. We will learn to play a few simple chants and begin to see how easily we can play any number of chants once we have grasped the basics and know a few chords! You will be provided with a chant sheet to go away and practice with and support you in the coming weeks and months. This workshop is only the beginning as there is no substitute for practice!

In order to break up the day and give ourselves time to absorb o

As he drummed over each person he visualised a reiki symbol moving from his hands through the drum and to them. The Reiki drum technique was born. Reiki brings love and light to deep healing.

The Gong is a very special instrument, it may produce all kinds of sounds, quiet and loud, it may sing, scream, cheer, it produces sounds rich in overtones, which magically surround us.

Sound vibrations touch us in a holistic way, every cell of our being.

Playing the Gong soft and gentle the sound vibrations invite us to let go of our thoughts, worries, being busy.… to simply listen….

Playing the Gong intensive and powerful, it brings into vibration all of our cells, it stimulates our self-healing forces and provides vitality. We regain strength and feel refreshed and lively.

Our Voice is Our Medicine
Advanced Sound Bodywork Course
A 3-Month Online Journey
With Vickie Dodd
Hosted by: Joule LAdara

Join us for a 3-Month advanced online course exploring sacred vocal sounding with Vickie Dodd. For this advanced-level course, Vickie will present her teachings through the lens of the human chakra energy system. Each 2-hour class will focus on a different chakra, illuminating the energy centers’ connection to the glands of the physical body. Through focusing on the aspects and attributes each chakra governs, we will engage in investigative self-inquiry, utilizing the sound of our own voices together with the vibration of color and light.

We will gather together in a virtual sacred circle, learning and sharing powerful tools to cultivate self-love in these seemingly tumultuous times of change.

Lead by Sound Pioneer Vickie Dodd of Sacred SoundWorks, and hosted by Joule LAdara of Sounding Circles, the course meets live on the Zoom online platform
