CHRISTMAS HARP - How to Play Therapeutic Music for Therapeutic Settings

Open to Musicians, harp players and those interested in giving the harp a try, please join us. If you have wanted to try a harp, this is your opportunity. Harps available for hire. Or if you are a musician and would like to join in with your instrument, bring that along.
Join us to celebrate the Season with a variety of joyful carols and heartfelt songs! Learn how to choose and implement
Holiday Music for therapeutic venues incorporating the 5 Qualities of Individualizing music for the recipient.
Participants are requested to bring a favorite Holiday/Christmas tune (10 copies), keeping in mind the kind of therapeutic setting that the song would best serve. It might be a Children’s Hospital, Hospice, Grief Support Group, Obstetrics Floor with Mothers and Babies, Infusion Center, Animal Shelter, Rehabilitation Center and more. Christina will show how to take
the piece of music and adapt it for the appropriate
setting. You will also have techniques to expand
these tunes with easy improvisational patterns.
Therapeutic harp training is now established in the UK
and Europe. After asking your questions at this
workshop, if you wish to go further into the training,
Christina will be meet with those committed to IHTP on
Sunday in Bath. She will get you started on the PREP
Music School. All level of players are welcome!
