Sounding Bowls have extraordinary effects on people worldwide. Reports from hospitals, private users, meditants and self healers paint a picture that I, as maker did not expect when I followed the image given in a meditation and began to make Sounding Bowls.
Healing is development, is growing through our struggles to become more than we were.
This workshop will explore the healing effects of Sounding Bowls, making available the source of these extraordinary effects and offer avenues by which anyone can bring into their lives some of the effects experienced by users of Sounding Bowls.
The workshop will operate on four levels: Body, Form, Process and Being or Spirit.
As we negotiate these levels we will look, through the lens of Sounding Bowls, playing them, listening to them, holding them; at trees and wood, touching on inner exercises to ground and calm the soul; then at sacred geometry, spirals and methods of enfolding and unfolding our potential; at work as a process, as a meditation and finally how the results of spiritual practice on a daily level feed into society and those whose lives touch on our own.
Throughout this workshop we will work as a group, bringing the interests and attributes of the members into the composition. We will touch on exercises that explore the space between self and other, between love and fear, and the intervals of the western scale as patterns in meditation, including particular tonal meditations which help to strengthen the presence of the true self in everyday life.
All are welcome on this workshop. No musical experience or ability is necessary, nor any prior knowledge of the subject. This workshop is designed to bring heart, head and will together in touching on powers that can help all.
