White Ceramic with Microphone Mount Birch Wood Drumhead
Despite sounding similar to Udu, Darbuka, Tabla and Talking Drum, the Cajudoo - developed and made by Hands on Drums - is an all new instrument in its own right. The proximity of the playing surface to the sound hole produces new and unusual sounds.
Its drumhead is made of laminated birch veneer. The Cajudoo is easy to play with traditional hand-percussion techniques. The sound is bright, crisp and with a short sustain. Due to its longer neck the Professional Cajudoo has got an even lower bass with an extraordinary long sustain.
All of the Pro series Cajudoos are equipped with a microphone mount in which you can use a Shure Beta 98 or Shure SM11 microphone (microphone not included).
