A beautifully made and very unusual five stringed instrument from China, played by plucking the strings on the right with a plectrum and altering the length of the individual strings using the keys, with the exception of the single drone string.
This instrument is similar to the Bulbul Tarang from India, where it is traditionally used to accompany singing. One major difference between the two instruments is that this Chinese instrument is of a far higher quality than those from India. Supplied with plectrum, spare strings, tuning aid and quality carry case.
Length: 69 cm, Width: 14 cm.
