1. Security

Shopping with us is safe - guaranteed. Sound Travels use SagePay to secure your online payments. We will take all reasonable steps to protect your personal information. We are pleased to conform to Safebuy's rigorous Code of Practice which is the only such code approved by the UK Office of Fair Trading: Safebuy Code of Practice

Buying on-line is as safe as buying by mail order. If you feel confident to buy by phone, fax or mail, you should be confident to buy from Sound Travels. Your rights are the same. In the UK, you are covered by the Sale of Goods Act 1979 and the Trade Descriptions Act 1976. If you receive faulty goods you have the right to a full refund.

Sound Travels is a real store, with a showroom and warehouse in Gloucestershire, or you can meet us at fairs and festivals around the UK.

2. Sound Travels privacy statement

We promise that we will never give or sell your details to anybody or any company, anywhere, anytime. We will only use customer data for legitimate business purposes.

We do not send random marketing emails to personal email addresses (spam).

We capture information about you by direct means only (eg when you order or submit enquiries). When you order or submit enquiries to Sound Travels you are agreeing to the use of your personal information for the following purposes:

to fulfil our agreement with you, including administering any accounts, processing and obtaining payment

to inform you (by mail, telephone, e-mail, or otherwise) about our products and services which we consider may be of interest to you

for fraud prevention and detection

for the administration of any competitions you may enter

3. Terms and conditions

In order to comply with the European Union (EU) Directive on Distance Selling, our Terms & Conditions must be agreed to before your order can be processed. These terms and conditions for the sale of goods govern any contract for sale that we jointly enter into and tell you the rights and obligations you have. You may have other rights granted by law and these Terms and Conditions do not affect these. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

4. Purchasing from Sound Travels

By placing your order you are offering to buy the goods and permitting us to use your personal details for the purposes of supplying goods (including passing your details onto couriers and other subcontractors). We will not use your details for other purposes other than those stated in our Privacy Statement (above) without asking your consent and you may request that your details are removed from our system by writing to us.

We are not obliged to supply the goods to you until we have confirmed acceptance of your order and this is when the contract is made. Your credit card payment will be deducted prior to sending the goods ordered. This will usually be within 24 hours of the goods being dispatched. You do not own the goods until we have received payment in full. All prices and offers are subject to change and availability. Errors and omissions excepted. Subject to not selling below our cost price.

5. Payment options

Sound Travels accepts Paypal, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and debit cards and uses the SagePay secure payment system. Generally payments for goods will not be taken more than two days before the expected shipping day.

6. Order confirmations

You will receive confirmation of your order by email. Please check that the details contained in this email are correct. If there are any mistakes, please email us immediately. This email is neither an invoice nor a formal acceptance of your order. Invoices are sent by post to the purchaser's address or sent with the goods. In the unlikely event of us being unable to fulfil your order or part there of, (due to having sold out of a selected item), or there being an error in your order we will advise you as soon as it is possible. If payment has been made on an order that we are unable to fulfil we will immediately refund payment by the same method by which the payment was made.

7. VAT & duty

The prices shown on the product pages include UK VAT (where applicable) at a rate of 20.0% (VAT No. GB 302 3991 78). VAT is deducted automatically in the shopping basket for non-EU customers. Local taxes & duties for those outside the EU are the responsibility of the shopper or recipient in the country of destination.

8. Advertising and Typographical Errors

All items featured on the web site are for new stock, unless otherwise stated. The description and features outlined are as provided by the manufacturer. While every care is taken to faithfully reproduce all such descriptions, errors may occur. If you are in any doubt about the item you wish to purchase we recommend you contact one of our sales advisors to discuss the product in more detail. In the event of a product that is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error, or error in pricing information from our suppliers, we shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders listed at the incorrect price whether or not the order has been confirmed. If we have already charged you for the order we will subsequently cancel your order and immediately issue a refund to your account.

10. Conformity Of Goods

We take every care to ensure that the description and specification of our products are correct at the time of going to press. However, while the colour reproduction of the products is a close representation, we cannot accept any responsibility for any variation in colour caused by the browser software or computer system used by you.

11. Damaged or defective goods

We endeavour to supply goods that are free from defects in materials and workmanship. You should inspect the goods when you receive them for defects or damage and notify us as soon as possible if there are any problems so that we can arrange for their collection at no cost to you. Damages and shortages must be notified within 7 working days of delivery. Please retain all documents and packaging. We will at our option replace the goods or refund monies paid by you.

12. Returning goods/cancelling your contract

If you are a UK consumer you have the right, in addition to your other rights, to cancel the contract and receive a refund, provided that the goods are returned undamaged and complete, together with the relevant packaging in an unused and re-saleable condition at your expense. You must inform us in writing of your desire to cancel within fourteen working days starting from the day after the day the goods are delivered to you. You must return the goods to us at your cost and ensure the goods are adequately insured during their return.

If you wish to cancel, please write to us at the address below. We require all cancellation requests in writing, by e-mail or post within 14 working days from the day after you receive the goods from us.

We shall refund the total amount of money paid by you for the goods, less any costs to collect the goods if required, within 30 days from the day on which we receive your notice of cancellation in writing. Refunds for valid claims will be made via the same method of payment as used to place the order.

13. Card Security

If your credit/debit card is used fraudulently as a direct result of being used to buy from our site, then we will assume liability for the first £50 of your loss. Your credit card company is obligated to take responsibility for the rest. We will do our best to work with your credit card company to minimise the hassle for you.
