The Aquaphone or Waterphone has a stainless steel body with brass rods of different lengths attached to it.
Water is added inside the body and the rods are then played either with a bow or percussively.
Varying the amount of water, angle of the instrument, type of bow and rosin, type of beater all produce different sound effects, such as whales, dolphins, underwater, Atlantean, outer space, sci-fi; the list goes on..........
