UK, MACCLESFIELD - Kirtan with Tim Chalice, Tim Chalice, Pure Yoga Cheshire, 29 Charlotte Street, Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK11 6JB, 22 Mar 2019

Join Tim for a beautiful evening of devotional chanting. By repeating simple mantras Kirtan is an effortless and very accessible way to experience some freedom from the endless chatter of the mind, revealing a graceful state of being and inner peace.

The moment we begin to chant there is a feeling of letting go, a deepening of the breath and a sense of coming home. We can let go of the doership and simply be in the present. As we immerse ourselves in these repetitive sounds our thoughts begin to recede and when the chants end, we can bathe in the silence that remains. It is a beautiful, simple practice. Feelings of fear, anger and separation are gently transformed into feelings of love, compassion and Oneness.

Kirtan is for everyone. No prior experience of chanting is necessary to gain the many benefits it has to offer, simply an openness to what may occur. Whether you wish to still your mind, awaken your heart, de-stress or simply enjoy singing with others kirtan is for you!

We are all angels. We just need to connect to our higher selves and allow that pure vibration to sing through us, to access the energy of The Source for help and guidance. UK, WIGAN - Harmonium Workshop, Tim Chalice, Wigan, 24 Mar 2019

This experiential and fun workshop is aimed at those new and relatively new to the harmonium with the aim of being able to play and sing Kirtan chants. This might be for your own personal practice, to share with your family or, in time, to lead a public Kirtan.

To begin the workshop we will spend a short while getting to know the instrument and learning how to navigate the keyboard as smoothly and easily as possible. We will look at the different ways of playing the harmonium and learn about playing chords and also chord inversions which can make life a lot easier for us. We will learn to play a few simple chants and begin to see how easily we can play any number of chants once we have grasped the basics and know a few chords! You will be provided with a chant sheet to go away and practice with and support you in the coming weeks and months. This workshop is only the beginning as there is no substitute for practice!

Hosted by: Joule LAdara

Join us for a 3-Month advanced online course exploring sacred vocal sounding with Vickie Dodd.
