Yehuda Tagar
Yehuda Tagar is an Australian/ South African psychotherapist and trainer of psychotherapists, founder of Psychophonetics, director of Persephone Institute of Psychophonetics, principal of Persephone College UK and president of the International Association of Psychophonetics Practitioners (IAPP). He is based in Cape Town and in Stroud, Gloucestershire.
Yehuda started his professional journey as a social and youth worker in Israel/ Palestine. He studied extensively in tertiary education institutions in Israel, the UK, Australia and South Africa covering a wide range of subjects including amongst others history, philosophy, anthroposophy, education, theatre and counselling.
His work in experimental, transformational theatre, which was guided and enriched by the practical application of Rudolf Steiner's Psychosophy, became a path of artistic creation involving body awareness, movement and gesture, sponteneous imaginative perception and the healing power of the sounds of human speech. In 1991 in Australia Yehuda’s work in theatre led to the creation of his modality called Psychophonetics.
