Hara Willow

Hara is a Shamanic Sound Healer, Transpersonal researcher and practitioner, Tutor for the College of Sound Healing and Interfaith Minister in training.

She specialises in Sacred Ceremony, Sacred Dance and Spiritual Accompaniment. Her work is structured by the Celtic Medicine Wheel - honouring eight sacred powers and directions - and utilises sonic spiritual technologies from the world’s wisdom traditions to connect to and embody the Divine, for healing and transformation.

Hara also writes sacred chants, songs, poems and prayers to assist in the rising of the Divine Feminine and the evolution of humanity towards a future of peace, harmony and reverence for life.

She facilitates interfaith medicine wheel ceremonies and in person and online courses. Her work is rooted in Celtic tradition and our British landscape and a life long deep connection to Spirit. The intention behind everything she does is always to support us in transforming the collective human consciousness by calling upon the assistance of, and embodying, the Divine Feminine.

Hara began her healing work in 1988 as a volunteer with Social Services and Victim’s Support. After discovering Elizabeth Kubler Ross’s holistic approach to health, during her training as a person centred counsellor, she began to explore the value and importance of integrating spirituality into wellbeing - the first steps of her journey to becoming a sound healer.

Having found her passion in helping people heal holistically, she completed over a decade of professional training, including a Masters Degree in Consciousness Studies and Transpersonal Psychology, specializing in research into the effects of Sound and Silence on the Psyche; four years of Authentic Power training with Gary Zukav; Transformational Yoga teacher training and practitioner training in Spiritual and Energy Healing and Sound Healing. After twenty years of practicing shamanism and healing within her own healing journey, and several years supporting clients, she now runs a private practice and creates and facilitates workshops, courses and spiritual retreats in the UK and Europe.

Hara has worked since 2007 with young people, creating pioneering sound based mindfulness tools to help them understand their thoughts, feelings and behaviour. This work helps students explore their inner worlds and find a connection to other people and the earth.

She has presented her research on this holistic approach to the British Psychological Society and EUROTAS. Hara also loves being creative; making wall-hangings, fabric art and bags for drums and sound healing tools, and performing poetry.

In her personal practice she delights in dancing, yoga and singing every day. For Hara, sound healing brings together some of the most joyful and beautiful aspects of life in one powerful and deeply transformative therapeutic approach - this is now the main focus of her work.
