I was a professional studio singerand writer for 35+ years working in all areas of the music business such as TV,radio, touring and cabaret. I achieved great success with the act ‘R& J Stone’ with the self-penned world-wide hit ‘We DoIt’ in 1976. I accompanied a wide variety of artistes including MarvinGaye, Adam Ant, Tony Bennett, Twisted Sister, Cliff Richard and Right SaidFred.
I have been on a conscious spiritualjourney since attending a clinic for alcoholism in 1992, have been sober for 20years and continue to study the great wisdom traditions of the East – Yoga,Buddhism and Sufism – as well as the Western tradition of TranspersonalPsychology.
I qualified as an IntegrativeCounsellor in 1998, as a Transpersonal Psychotherapist in 2004 and taughtcounselling at Diploma level from 2000 – 2005. I have been facilitating groupssince 2000. During this time Yoga became my spiritual path and as well asattending various courses such as British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course 2006,Buddhist meditation course 2009 and pranayama retreats with Dr. Shrikrishna,2004 & 2011, I have continued to study and practice Yoga on a daily basis.
I have a private therapeuticpractice for 1-2-1 clients that I run from home, and I have monthly groups atBosham House on the south coast of England using the ‘Yoga of Sound’ process(see www.yogaofsound.co.uk for more details). I also do various one-offworkshops during the year.
I am co-founder of two devotionalbands, ‘At-Ma’ and ‘The Gathering,’ playing at various festivals such the MindBody Spirit Festivals and the Yoga Show at Olympia in London.
