This First Hawk flute in the key of 'A' minor is handcrafted from a single piece of Poplar wood (also known as Yellow Poplar) which is grown domestically and very sustainable.
It is a 6-hole flute but we cover the 3rd hole down from the top of the flute (known as the 6th hole) with a removable leather tie to give you the option of playing it as a 5-hole flute (easier for beginners) or a 6-hole flute.
Because of its range of notes, this flute can also play a relative major diatonic scale in the key of "C".
This is a good accompaniment flute for the any flute in the key of “A”.
