School of Creative Music Making

Friends,

After three years of running improvising music courses together in the UK and Holland Erik Huele and I have launched the School of Creative Music Making.

Our 2011 course comprises four weekends, each with a different focus: Sound and Listening 1-3 April; The Voice and Harmony 10-12 June; Rhythm and Movement 9-11 September; Intuition andMusical Form 28-30 October.

The series of weekends will help you find and cultivate your authentic musical voice and your ability to create music with others. The aim is to let your music flow. It doesn’t matter if you read music or have any prior training: the basis is listening. Sessions are centred around playing together in both small and larger groups.

The course is for beginners, experienced musicians and anyone interested in sound and self-expression. A range of beautiful sounding, easy-to-use acoustic instruments is provided and you are welcome to bring your own. Supportive movement and relaxation practices are an integral part of the weekends.

For further details see the listings on this website or visit: www.creativemusicmaking.com

Peace through music

Stefan
