The Gift Of Sound
The gift of working with sound…
I sit here in meditation…I hear the birds singing…
All sounds take on special meaning when I am like this.
Quiet. Open.
I hear an airplane and instead of being annoyed at its
mechanical intrusion, I allow it to penetrate my hearing in the same way as the
birds, attaching no meaning to it.
I am for a moment, free.,,my body relaxes, I am one with
everything.
Training with sound, feeling sound moving through my body
and making friends with it through toning…through mantra, through hearing the
subtle and not so subtle harmonics emanating from a sounding bowl…has enhanced
my listening abilities.
How does this help me in my daily life…when I am not
meditating, but talking, listening, acting out tasks? Sometimes when I feel the
tension rising within me through some situation or other…or some belief arising
or other…I go back to listening to the sounds around me. I go for the
background sounds first…which help take

Don Conreaux
Don Conreaux has asked me to organise a concert of his Mysterious Tremendum Ensemble in London on June 16th 2012. It may be one of his last in the UK and London.
It has been an honour meeting and working with Don since I first met him in about 1993/4 when I saw this flashing light in the middle of a cropcircle in Avebury!
I was travelling there with Jonathan Goldman and we had stopped to go into another crop circle which is where we saw this mysterious light. Later on in the evening Jonathan and I were looking for somewhere to eat and found an Indian restaurant nearbyand eating in it was Don and Aidan McIntyre, Dons faithful companion in gong magic. Jonathan knew Don from the States and introduced me to him. What we saw was Don twirling his gong in the crop circle! Since then he has invited me to perform with the Mysterious Tremendum Ensemble which Don has championed since he studied with the late Dane Rhudyar (http://www.khaldea.com/rudhyar/).

Listening to The Call ( of our inner Heart)
Hi, I would like to share with you the introduction to my new album “ the Call”, that I am currently working on.
It is possible now, amidst all that is happening in the world, to feel the true call of our inner heart. A place that resides inside us all, and when listened to, provides a wealth of wisdom.
This is all we need to do. We can then start to trust that our thoughts, words and actions, will be reflecting that fiery love back to the world.

The mind is composed of sound. It is the reverberation of our words and the ideas which create the mind. Hence the conscious use of sound both purifies and controls the mind. Sound is the highest yoga and the most direct path to the Divine. The Yoga of sound is not concerned only with gross articulated sounds. ------- Four levels of sound are recognized in Vedic literature. The Rig Veda states, Four are the levels of sound. These four are called Vaikhari, Madhyamaa, Pashyanti and Paraa. ------The general perception is that when we speak, sound comes from the voice. Hi everyone, I just wanted to let you know that I am conducting a study with a colleague James Gregory into the effect of hormones on the voice. There is very little research on it, and James and I will be looking at the female voice and the male voice in the study. Those of you who have read my ebook will know about my theory on the voice and the heart, and I will be looking closely at this connection within the endocrine system and the voice in this study. Particularly in performance vocals which can also work the thyroid very hard. Dr Candice Pert’s early work was concerned with the discovery of opiate receptors and the science of the biomolecular basis for our emotions. It was discovered that these opiate receptors are throughout the entire body and not just in the brain. In her recent book Dr Pert considers that the transfer of information throughout the body at a cellular level is so rapid that it is more like a vibration.
