The bronze is an alloy of 77% copper and 23% tin and is virgin material, not recycled bronze as used in some cheaper inferior gongs on the market! They are almost flat with a deep rim of about 10 cm, the gong is polished all over.
Moon Gongs are very responsive having a strong long-lasting sustain and give you a distinctive deep resonant sound due to the depth of the rim
They are ideal as a hand held gong due to their size and relatively light weight.
