Online Scaravelli Yoga and Yoga for Healthy Backs

Vanda Scaravelli’s main philosophy was the importance of learning from nature and 'awakening the spine'; that yoga is a part of our everyday life and we need to take the time to connect with and appreciate that.


Scaravelli inspired yoga: an understanding that movement is initiated from the spine, the breath and working in the gravitational field, but yoga is in your every day practice, not just on the mat, but as you walk down the street, when you stand on the bus, when you smile and bring that joy into your heart.


In other words, I will help you connect with your breath, notice the movement and subtlety within your body, release held stress and find calm and balance.


To achieve this I may use complementary techniques including Qi Kung, Hatha Yoga, breath (pranayama), gravity, somatic release, Yoga Nidra (awake sleep) and sound. I also sometimes incorporate poetry and readings into our practice together...more
