MAY 2010 AT HAWKWOOD COLLEGE – SOUNDS GOOD!


OPEN DAY


The air around Hawkwood College will be alive with sound on the annual Open Day on Bank Holiday Monday 3rd May. Tobias Kaye will bring his amazing sounding bowls, beautifully crafted with wood and strings to create individual instruments for meditation, healing or pure pleasure. He will give a demonstration session at 1pm. Sam Bloomfield and Tabla Tom Simenauer will give a session at  12 noon with didgeridoo and tabla and talk about the upcoming course and concert the following weekend.

There will be sessions on Sounding the Tree of Life (musical meditations with the Kabballah); Sound Healing with Psychophonetics; Singing your Heart’s Song; and Music Another Way with Stefan Cartwright. The entire day is given over to FREE TASTER WORKSHOPS, as well as delicious food & refreshments, musical entertainment , children’s fun and information.

CONCERTS & COURSES COMING UP

A highlight is definitely Sam Bloomfield’s weekend course and concert with the didgeridoo. Sam is an inspired master of the didj, as well as being an artist, craftsman, healer, musician and teacher. It is an opportunity to make a fairtrade, sustainable didgeridoo with your own decorations.
