Thank you for this reminder of Chartres Cathedral, Susan. We were in this magnificent place just a few weeks ago. We entered from a side door rather than through the main entrance. As these doors have a double door arrangement so that after the first and before the second you are in darkness when contrasted with the outside sunshine, it came as a shock to have revealed the wonder of this cathedral which was more shocking when the organ suddenly began to fill the huge vaulted space.
Singing in such a space, Susan, I envy you. What a glorious experience.
