This is a two day course, covering both practical and theoretical aspects of working with clients who have experienced trauma, within the context of sound healing / sound therapy practice (including practitioners working with the voice, gongs, bowls, drums and other instruments).
By the end of the course the participants will have learnt:
* how to recognise the signs of trauma in their clients
* the basic neuroscience of trauma and how to apply it in practice
* how trauma affects mind and body
* why sound healing may be effective in releasing trauma and how it may also trigger traumatic reactions
* protecting self from vicarious traumatisation and compassion fatigue
* a range of simple techniques and approaches that will help both them and their clients stay safe and grounded during and after the session, and in between sessions.
The course will be taught by Masha Bennett, registered psychotherapist, trauma specialist, and sound healer trained with The College of Sound Healing.

Deeply restorative Sacred Sound Journey Evenings with the Gongs and healing sound instruments, helping bring you back into a sense of harmony.

A Sacred Sound Journey is an hour of deep relaxation, lying down in Yoga Nidra, whilst bathing in the healing vibrations of healing instruments.

Sound Therapists, Edwin and Harshani create a safe healing space whilst taking you on a journey through the sounds of these different healing instruments:~ Earth Gong, Universal Symphonic Gong, Water Gong and Chinese wind gong various tibetan singing bowls shamanic drumming and rattles Rain stick Ocean Drum Handpan Koshi bells and Sansulas.
