UK, Monthly Gong Bath Sound Sanctuary @The Isbourne Centre, Cheltenham, Alicia Davies/ Alimadee, The Isbourne Holistic Centre, 3 Wolseley Terrace, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL50 1TH, 17 Nov 2018

A Gong Bath is a profoundly relaxing experience. Washed by waves of sound, the body, mind and spirit enter a state of cohesion, while the vibrations of the powerful Planet Gongs and other healing instruments cause the cells to resonate sympathetically. It’s a fast track to deep meditation, perfect for quieting the busy mind, and stimulating for the body’s innate healing abilities.

If it is the first time you’ve tried the experience, the power of a Gong Bath - sometimes known as sound massage - maybe something of a surprise. The sounds of the gong vary dramatically from the quietest whisper to a primal roar a wall of sound that resonates everything it touches, including the particles that make up our physical bodies. The Gong’s frequencies are cleansing and purifying, detoxing, relaxing, and stimulating, depending on the state in which you arrive for your session. All that is required of you is to turn up, lie down, and chill out.

UK, LONDON - Naad Yoga Teacher Training UK, Raj Academy Conservatoire, , 18 Nov 2018

Creating balance in life with the art of communication

Understanding how our emotional state is composed and then consciously converting negativity to positivity creates a happy and healthy life. The process is similar to the composition of music and Naad Yoga uses musical modes and our own emotions as raw material for personal development.

In this three-year programme, our focus is to prepare you for an experience of mastery in life. Tuning, listening, rhythm, singing, chakras, senses, emotional signatures, moods, composition, and silence are the 10 keys that will be used consistently.

We teach six instruments, bowed, plucked and percussion, used from ancient times as tools to build a spiritual bridge between body, mind and soul. You can also take the journey using your voice only - the voice is at the center of Naad Yoga and the main tool used to practice this art.

How does it work?

You progress through a combination of supported learning at home, classes in a group an

UK, Into The Present! A Yoga & Sound experience, Lucy E.M. Hunter & Achim Brandenburg, 13 Upper Gray Street EH9 1SN Edinburgh, 18 Nov 2018

Into The Present!
A Yoga & Sound experience

This year offers unprecedented opportunity to let go of old patterns of conditioning to reboot and refresh, leaving behind what is no longer serving us, to bring ourselves up to date and fully Into The Present.

These 8 sessions of sound healing are designed to take us, one energy centre or chakra at a time, on a journey of discovery.

Where are we holding back?
Where can we create more joy?
What insights are waiting to be revealed
to us in this special space of sound Healing?

At the start of each session with the help of some simple yoga poses we will locate each centre, one per session. Then taking time to set our intention and making ourselves comfortable we can allow the sound of gongs, singing bowls and various percussion to find the way to where it is needed, gently loosening impacted energy, creating space and lightness and a sense of freedom so we return to the world more fully present to ourselves.

UK, The Yoga of Sound, Nicola Kelsall, Studio 6, The Old School Business Centre, Church Drive, 20 Nov 2018

Enhance your physical yoga with the yoga of sound, encompassing mantra, mudra, toning and more. Learn mantras, breathing exercises, sound meditations and movements in a weekly class.

What is the Yoga of Sound?

There are many aspects to yoga, although in the West we are more familiar with the physical aspects. These Yoga of Sound classes incorporate four different strands of sound yoga: Shabda, Shakti, Bhava and Nada. Each session we will develop our practice to include yogic breathing exercises, chanting and toning, mantra, meditation and motion mantra. Whilst this will add an extra dimension to yoga for those who already attend a regular yoga class, you do not need to attend physical yoga classes to derive benefit from sound yoga.

What do I need?

* A mat. There are plenty of floor mats in the studio or you are welcome to bring a yoga mat.
* A meditation cushion/stool (meditation stools are available for use at the studio, but if you prefer a cushion, please bring one).

UK, Full Moon Gong Meditation With Sacred Cacao Ceremony, Nicola Kelsall, Earthtones Sound Therapy, Studio 6, The Old School Business Centre, Church Drive, Nottingham NG5 6LD, 23 Nov 2018

During a full moon there is a surge of powerful energy, making it the perfect time to take action in your life. The Full Moon is a time to release that which no longer serves you, anything you no longer need in your life or an aspect of yourself that you have outgrown. We cannot move on or embrace new opportunities until we let go of the old and signal our readiness to embrace the new. Often, taking actions within a ceremony or ritual can give them more potency.

What Will Happen in the Gong Meditation?

We’ll begin by indulging in sacred, ceremonial grade pure Cacao, to open the heart to the energies to come. We’ll then take part in a cleansing guided meditation, before letting the healing, sacred sounds of the gongs, Himalayan bowls and earthy percussion wash over you.

After this, there will be time to re-hydrate and share your journey, if you wish to.

What is “Pure Ceremonial Cacao”?

Pure Cacao is sometimes called “raw chocolate”. It is about as far from the dairy fille
