When Happiness Arrives True Healing Occurs
This creating of wholeness is called TAI LOI, which are two ancient Mandarin Chinese characters, directed to be inscribed on the face of all gongs, by Gautama Buddha in 600 BCE. The Gong is the most resonant tone-producing instrument known. When it vibrates you can sense musical reverberations within all the cells of the body. It produces long rolling waves of sustained tones called 'holistic' that thicken the surrounding air by com-bining together to create a fullness of total sound. The end result is in an all-enveloping sound field, called a 'sound envelope,' that is packed full of resonance.
The term of 'holism' can be applied to any musical instrument that vibrates with each and every element of its being, to produce fundamental tones and overtones. This type of tone producer is called an Idiophone in musical terms. The gong, sometimes referred to as a Tam Tam, is such an Idiophonic musical instrument. The flat disc-shaped bronze gong is really more of an engine of healing power because the etheric sonal rays it generates emanate in all directions from the gongs entire surface.
This cosmic energy that we in a tactile sense recognize as 'feeling' tones is simply carried by the pressure waves of sound through either air or material substance, through the skin which totally covers our body; into our inner organs, bones, nerves and brain. Thus, it fully embraces us as well as inner penetration of every molecule of our being with its sound radiance and resonance.
What occurs in a total sound field is a beautiful patterned overtonal chaos, similar to that found in the resonant, four cavities of the healthy heart muscle. This is why it is said that true living tones can only be felt in the heart. For a tone to be considered a living being, it must have the power of regeneration within itself. It must grow, procreate and prolifer-ate like living organic life, and the more resonant it can be, the more alive it is.
YOU ARE A GONG. I AM A GONG
Human beings in the fullness of health are also Idiophones, like a fully resonant gong. The holistic tones of our body, emotions, mind and spirit produce a cooperative effort resulting in a happy and abundant life. When we are resonating fully, reproductive cells of the body function optimally, our 'whole-brain' functions with full intuitive power, and we feel the happiness of an inner peace.
