This year will be the 30 th anniversary of Gong Master Training co-created by Don Conreaux and Aidan
McIntyre which was first held at Gaunts House, Dorset in 1995.
As in previous years, this will be led by Aidan and Tim Byford together with assistant tutors Kevin Goulding,
Corinne Cael Amuera, Elizabetta Fossaluzza, Sophie Stercx and possibly other guest teachers to be
announced. Together these Tutors have many decades of knowledge and expertise to share with students.
Don Conreaux, in his 91 st year, will be joining us on Zoom from Los Angeles for sessions online to be
projected onto a large screen.
Below is an extract from Don Conreaux’s Magnum Opus vol.1 which is just one of the NINE books plus a
working Chiometer Wheel which are GIVEN to students on the course.
WHAT IS 21 ST CENTURY SOUND HEALING?
“Fundamentally the word “Healing” means “Making Whole”. “Wholeness” means “Fully Resonant Being”.
A holistic health practitioner works on the premise that only the object of healing can heal itself, whether a
person or the Earth itself. A “Healer” is simply someone or something that assists the object or human
being towards returning to its own innate, fully resonant self. To assist another to return to peak resonating
wholeness of tone in a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual sense is the objective of what is now called
Holistic Health.
Since the source of all matter and non-matter is vibration which is the utterance we call ‘sound’, it is not
difficult to predict that this century will be centred around ‘sound’ in all areas of life, whether it be scientific
progress or spiritual growth. This unfoldment of 21 st Century Sound Healing is now in full force. Daily, we
hear about the shift of science and healing towards the unlimited potentials of sound. One of the most
striking esoteric writings on the subject of sound in regard to the future, is found in the writings of Alice A.
Bailey. The title of the subject is called “Healing on the 4 th Ray of Humanity” in a book called Esoteric
Healing.
Theosophists who follow these teachings, from Madame Blavatsky through Alice A. Bailey, divide creation
into 7 Rays corresponding to the rainbow spectrum. The 4 th Ray represents the Ray of Humanity and the
Kingdom of Nature, the Ray of Sound and the concept of ‘Resolution or Unification of Polarities’.
Two ancient major archetypal characters important to our times are Maitreya and Quetzacoatl. Maitreya is
a name describing the coming re-emergence of the Buddha as loving kindness and musical resonance.
The Bronze Gong represents the Maitreyan energy as musical resonance. Quetzacoatl, the name of the
Lord of the Mayans, who also is imminently supposed to return to earth, signifies both the time for Spiritual
Purification and the Resolution of Polarities. The Sacred Conch, a Sea Trumpet or blowable Shell Horn,
represents Quetzacoatl. Both Gong and Conch are primal instruments that hold within them the secrets of
the new age of healing through sound and warrant a special place in the psyche of today’s researcher and
practitioner.”
