Gong Nidra

                        GONG NIDRA

*Nidra is Sanskrit for sleep.

*Yoga Nidra is when you are awake while you sleep.

*Gong Nidra is when you remain in a neutral state of awareness of your awareness while resting in a gong ocean of holistic resonance.

The sleep of Gong Yoga Nidra is supported by the Om sound of Holistic Resonance. The Gong as the Raja or King of musical instruments can bring any meditating yogi to the next level of personal transformation regardless of whether a beginner or an advanced practitioner.

One way to practice is after Gong Yoga or after a Kundalini Kriya is completed and the person is lying completely relaxed in corpse pose/savasana, or sitting in meditation pose after a guided relaxation.

When the listener is in a completely relaxed state as the Gong Bath proceeds, it is called being in a hypnagogic state, a borderland state between falling asleep and remaining awake. This creative portal also occurs in the coming out of the gong meditation or gong sleep and is called the hypnapompic state of awakening.

These two bookends to the gong bath are seeding opportunities for planting spiritual thoughts, creating new cerebral synapses of higher more lucid consciousness.
