Summer Solstice @ Avebury 2015 Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st June Sound & Meditation Events We are bringing together an exciting team of sound creators for two very special events over Solstice weekend: Evening Soundscape Concert: Saturday 20th June, 7-10pm £15 An evening of blissful sound creation to take you on a wonderful journey across time and space - as we approach the day of maximum light With Planet Gongs, Gold and Platinum Crystal Deva Bowls, Overtone Singing, Devotional Chant, Harmonium, Hang Drum Featuring: Jay Stilwell, Bea Martin & David Johnson (Bards of Avalon), John & Tanya Carter, Bharati & Dinesh, Helen Keeley & Adrian Mieras, Craig Spensley The same team of facilitators will be co-creating a very special event the following day: Daytime Sound Adventure Workshop: Sunday 21st June, 10am-4pm £55 Join us on a group planetary 'adventure' in sound meditation on the day of Solstice, as we anchor the new incoming light through the 5 planetary kingdoms: Mineral, Plant, Animal, Human and Light... Taking place within our indoor Avebury venue, together we will experience the scope and the immersive and creative power of sacred sound, with planet gongs, chant, voice, drumming, crystal bowls and more. This is a wonderful opportunity to individually and collectively anchor and ground the light for the remainder of the year. No experience required, everyone welcome.... Full programme & further info viewable on our website: www.aveburyheartcentre.net Outdoor Solstice Ceremonies: Before and after the workshop on Sunday, we will be holding two free short outdoor ceremonies out in Avebury Henge with planet gongs, and simple guided group meditation for planetary healing: 4.45am: Welcome the Solstice Dawn at the the 'Moon Cove' (behind Silbury House) 5pm: Solstice Peace Across the Planet Ceremony in the 'Sun Circle' (opposite the Red Lion pub) at 5pm Peace Ceremony Further details of these ceremonies are on our website (No tickets are required for these - just come and join in!) Location: The concert and workshop will be held at the Avebury District Club, off the A4361 (the 'main' road through Avebury), SN8 1RD. (See map at top right of page...) Refreshments: Mineral water, coffee, and a large selection of teas will be available at the concert and workshop, plus a selection of divine raw chocolates, and raw vegan cakes/deserts offered for sale :) Booking: Places for the indoor events are limited to 100 and are bookable in advance above. It is expected that these events will be fully attended, so early booking is advised! Car Parking: Use of public transport is encouraged as Avebury is very busy at Solstice. Extra space is made available in and behind the National Visitors Car Park off the main road, but this can still become quite full. (No parking is permitted in the village itself without a residents permit or disabled badge). Our event venue has parking for up to 30 cars and so a limited number of car park tickets will be available, but strictly only to those who pre-book our indoor paid events (concert &/or workshop).
