Are you feeling called to play the gong or to deepen your gong practice? Selma, founder of GONG, is hosting a retreat-style intensive Gong Training workshop at The Center of Unity, Schweibenalp in Switzerland. This workshop will be hosted entirely in ENGLISH.
About the Retreat location:
We can't think of a better setting for this experience - the Retreat Centre is located in the Bernese Oberland at 1,100 meters, with a view of the turquoise Lake Brienz. Schweibenalp is a living and working community that manages the seminar center and maintains the permaculture gardens. The Center is part of the Global Ecovillage network and has been contributing to the development of a holistic lifestyle and universal spirituality for 35 years. It's a place of spiritual pilgrimage, and a destination for learning, healing and growth.
About the Training:
You do not need to have any prior musical training or special talent to play the gong. It’s an intuitive practice, so anyone can learn to play as long as you remain curious, motivated and let yourself be guided by a positive intention and intuition.
The gong player and practitioner training is divided into two parts, both of which include theory and practice:
• Part 1: Learning to Play the Gong introduces you to the history, theory and science of gong meditation, and includes an overview of playing techniques as well as practice time with the gong.
• Part 2: Hosting a Gong Bath is designed for those who want to go further and learn to facilitate gong baths.
Both parts will be covered at a high level during this retreat, followed by personalised support upon your return home so you can continue to flourish on your gong journey.
