Learn how to play sacred songs and chants from the Indian (Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh) and other spiritual traditions on the harmonium in a relaxed and supportive environment. No prior experience necessary or harmonium required - you can borrow one for the session, so you can just come and have a taste. (Maximum 6 people) The session covers the basics of the harmonium - the mechanics, using the stops and drones, using the bellows, learning about the inner workings. You will also learn basic techniques and simple chords to be able to use your instrument to support your voice and give you the confidence to sing with and from your heart. You will leave the session being able to play and 2 or 3 simple chants and with the knowledge and materials to learn to play more. Three hours/£35 (includes handouts, music and CD)
