Frequency as a Spiritual Connector a Workshop with Vickie Dodd January 14 & 15, 2017 Kilkishen Cultural Centre Intro/Sacred Sound Concert on January 13 Kilkishen, County Clare, Ireland “My goal is to assist you to find Sound as your Teacher. I do not teach sound. Sound is the Teacher.” Many of us want to be able to meditate and we often find that the ‘noise’ in our heads keeps us from being able to go deeper to the quiet we so earnestly desire. In this training we will practice sound and breath exercises to reduce the noise, the conversations, the stress of our busy lives to be able to have simple practical tools to connect daily to a Source, Creator, a power greater than our ‘noise’. We will practice the ancient forms of intention and prayer and mantra to guide and massage and exercise our spiritual muscle. We will practice trusting our voice and the wisdom of sound to guide us and become our teacher. It will be a time of much inner and outer exploration with our voice as our medicine, as our Teacher. The human body is a symphony of rhythm, pulse, flow, and tone. The vibratory nature of sound and voice has many healing applications. Using our voice with conscious intention will be our medium for direct communication with our body. We will experience: The Power of Humming Emptying – how to quiet the mind Listening – expanding our senses Finding your Sound Signature Dissolving emotional memories held in tissues Physical support for sound and breath Aston Kinetics concepts for movement integration Sound has been my teacher, inspiration, mentor, path of discovery and awakening my entire life. I would love to share with you some of the experiences gained from this relationship. Vickie Dodd, director of Sacred SoundWorks, is an internationally known pioneer in the field of Sound as a Bodywork. She is an Aston-Patterning Teacher, author, poet, nutritionist, herbalist, workshop leader and musician. She started using sound as a healing modality in her work with her clients over 45 years ago. The essence of Vickie's work is a multi-dimensional approach to using Sound as an evolutionary tool, emphasizing maturation of the emotional body. Vickie has the rare ability to "sense" the subtle rhythm, vibrations, and tones that all matter produces. She uses her remarkable gift of "sounding" to match the unique soundprint of a person.
