Discover the unifying, universal healing power of the harmonic series by creating a harmonic choir. Michael will introduce the techniques and methods of Harmonic Overtone Singing, Harmonic Tuning, Overtone Melodies, Harmonic Chords, Undertone Singing, Harmonic Sound Baths and Syntonic Harmonic Resonance, all that you need to create your own Harmonic Choir.
The workshop is open for both beginners and overtone singers of any experience.
Places are limited so booking is essential.
Michael Ormiston is Britain’s foremost Mongolian Khöömii (overtone) singer, being one of the only non-Mongolians able to sing Khöömii. His voice has been used in Hollywood films, David Attenborough’s acclaimed wildlife series Planet Earth, and heard in concert by H.H. the Dalai Lama. He travelled to Mongolia 6 times since 1993 where he studied with Khöömii singers Tserendavaa, Gereltosgt, Tsogtbataar & Tsengedorj. He is the only European been blessed to teach the basic practices of Mongolian Khöömii by Tserendavaa & Gereltsogt. Michael has been composing music for overtone choirs since 1993 and recently he has been commissioned to create music for a Turku Harmonic Choir as part of the Colourscape festival in Finland.
