Focusing on winter and the Taoist Water element of Nature, the emphasis of this course is to conserve and restore energy ready for winter. We will learn Taoist/Qigong practices, meditations, movements and healing sounds to connect to and nourish the internal organs, particularly the kidneys. When blockage is released, Chi energy practices awaken the body systems and natural self-healing abilities.
We will give special emphasis to the lungs/breath and practise gentle yet powerful movements and principles of Tai-chi, Qigong & healing sound to rejuvenate and harmonise emotional, physical, mental and spiritual levels of energy.
Indoor preparations focus on the weekend’s ‘Astro-mandala’ to link awareness of the current planetary positions to all the practices. Sunday afternoon culminates in a Resonant Soundbath Experience in which the live sounds of Solfeggio sacred frequency chimes, singing bowls, tingshas, harmonium and voice provide a deep healing resonance in the body: this is deeply relaxing and nourishing, unique and pleasurable.

Places are limited to 12 per group and each course is suitable for complete beginners or those experienced in Sound and Qi practice. Our indoor base is based in the Masonic Hall, Trenale Lane, Tintagel PL34 0AN. You need to bring a mat, blanket and cushion (comfort is essential for the Soundbath Experience!), packed lunches, outdoor footwear and clothing to allow for walking in changeable weather conditions of sun, wind and rain. You may find it useful to bring notebooks or sketchbooks to record insights and information.
