UK, COUNTY DURHAM - Sound therapy Diploma Course - Module 1, Voice & Tibetan bowl, Jane Ford-Farrand, 11 North Green, 24 Apr 2015
The first of three modules designed to give you the basic skills to work with sound for healing. This weekend will focus on voice and Tibetan bowls and during the course of the module we shall cover the following:
Voice anatomy and physiology, breathing and warm-up exercises, humming, toning on vowels, overtoning, intuitive voice work, harmonising, mantra, soundscapes, choosing and playing Tibetan bowls, chakra balancing, giving sound baths.
The course is fully residential but you can travel daily if you live close by. We do, however work quite late into the evening on the Friday and Saturday. The cost includes accommodation for all 3 modules, food, tuition, supervision and awarding of diploma (through Atlantis College).
As well as learning about and experiencing sound the weekend will provide an opportunity to relax in a beautiful rural location with guided woodland walks available on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Dates for subsequent modules are: 5 - 7 June and 24 - 26 July.
