A meditative crafts process Sound connects us with the Divine part within us, which is often experienced only faintly in our daily life. Ton Akkermans is aligned to the tradition of generations of smiths and coppersmiths who have dedicated their work to the searching for the one, perfect all-transcending sound. His instruments are tuned into the frequency of 432 Hertz, which takes one back to the silence of the soul. Under Ton’s friendly, professional supervision you will learn the technique of forging and of listening and attunement with the vibrations of different metals. The rhythm of metal work, the heat of the forge and the alchemical process of shaping your own instrument in an outdoor studio offer a unique combination of physical and spiritual engagement.
