Tobias Kaye will lead a one-day intensive and participatory workshop on Sounding Bowls. This workshop will explore musicality and Sounding Bowl techniques, bringing a new level of understanding and appreciation for what your instrument can offer. It is designed for both music therapists and amateur players who wish to deepen their musical experience with the Bowls and their relationship to the sounds created. The tuition explores a “repertoire” of playing patterns and techniques to strengthen each players confidence and intention in the meditative, healing experience of sound generation.
Playing with the Bowls runs through all of these levels to bring us the quality of the sound itself.
You are welcome to arrive from 9.30am for tea/coffee to start at 10am. A simple but hearty, wholesome lunch is included in the afternoon and the day will finish soon after 4pm.
There will be a range of other Sounding Bowls to play and choose from if you wish to expand your range of playing options, or do not own an instrument.
Cost: £70 for the day. Please pay £25 deposit in advance
