This program serves as an entry point into the understanding of indigenous science, through 5 workshops: Return of the Oboo, Lords of the Soil, When Worlds Connect, Return of the Ongon, and The Great Time If you feel that you are ready for the next level of understanding, and are ready to make a commitment to studies that actually sharpen the Sword of Wisdom, rather than just making you feel good and massaging your ego, then Between 2 Worlds is for you. Entry into this program is dependent upon instructor approval. The retreat will be presented over the Fall Equinox in upper Bucks County, Pennsylvania near Lake Nockamixon. Students can commute or take advantage of onsite shared apartments, or camp. The program consists of 5 workshops that will require materials and tools. Students should bring tools with them, and materials can be purchased locally. Expenses most likely will not exceed $20. We will also collect materials from our local woodlands, so necessary footwear, gloves, raingear etc, should be brought along. Also, bring along something to sit on outside, eyecovering or mindfold, rattle and drum ( if you have them ), waterbottle, and a box or package of medicinal incense, not perfumed incense please. There will be a 2 hour midday break, and a 2 hour dinner break each day. Students who lodge onsite, can prepare meals (vegetarian only) in the shared apartment kitchens; or travel to local restaurants within a 15 minute vehicle ride. This program is focused on direct experience with indigenous science. Students may find that this approach affords contact with a broader worldview than prior shamanic training experiences. This program is compatible with all forms of shamanic studies, and may go far beyond what most students have already engaged. Hosted by Mitch Nur, PhD who has spent decades with indigenous spiritual teachers from diverse cultures all over the world. His perspective through direct experience, is that many trainings offered today, fall short in taking the student to levels that actually provide valuable training that can help them, their families, and their social network. Between 2 Worlds is your entry point in gathering the personal insights you need to move forward. Registration DOES NOT include lodging. If you require onsite lodging, email for details. The onsite lodging is totally furnished, including the kitchens, just bring your own foodstuffs. The program starts at 10am on the 19th, and ends at 5pm on the 22nd.
