Introduction to Sound Therapy group healing session Hits the Spot therapy centre, Oridge Street, Corse, Gloucester GL19 3DA 3rd of August 2013. 11 am to 3pm. £15 per person. Come and experience three hours of sound healing demonstration and treatments, including tuning forks, Shamanic drumming, crystal bowl, sounding bowls and finishing off with a gong bath. Not only will you see how these instruments are used for sound therapy work, you will also experience their potential directly. Most of this group healing session will consist of lieing down and receiving group sound therapy treatments - one sure way of being completely blissed out! Please bring a blanket and a pillow.I will have crash mats laid out for your comfort. First I will demonstrate my crystal bowl and sounding bowls. Then a tuning fork demonstration. I will also be giving a fifteen minute group tuning fork treatment using a small wooden mallet to tap the forks so that they can be heard throughout the room rather than giving a treatment to everyone individually. However, I will go around to everyone individually and allow them to experience a brief sample of the tuning fork sound. Next comes the shaman drum starting with an individual drum massage; everyone will experience about three minutes of the drum massage. I will then demonstrate the heart beat and an entrainment technique and shaman drumming. Following that, I will demonstrate bells, rattles, rain stick and shakers for use as grounding tools after a sound treatment. Saving the best until last, with the gongs, I shall run through some playing techniques and then deliver a hour long gong bath followed by grounding tools. bottles of water will be handed out and I recommend that you drink plenty of water for at least the next 48 hours as a lot of healing can take place during this three hour sound healing session.
