HEALING VOICE- WEEK INTENSIVE- RESIDENTIAL In the heart of beautiful Somerset Very near Glastonbury (The Mystical Centre of Britain) Nestles between two sacred hills in a breathtaking valley. Gourmet vegetarian food. During the weekend we will learn and practice the ancient and extraordinary Mongolian shamanic overtone chanting- an ethereal, magical and powerfully meditative vocal yoga; vocal purification and transformative breathing practices; sacred chants, mantras, dream- work, and a practice to heal the ancestral lines. MANDALA of Red Tara. Each of Jill's week intensives is different. We will be be working with, and becoming the mandala, or structure of consciousness of the supreme alchemical balance of male and female - the union of these two is the ultimate spiritual path, sought after in different ways within all traditions. On this occasion, Jill will work with the Mandala of Red Tara. Red Tara is the magnifier and magnetizer of all good things and remover of obstacles- this practice bestows powerful energy and empowers us in our endeavours to bring about what is right for us for the good of all, and develops our inner power as a means of enlightenment. This work combines and contain continuous chant, profound spiritual practice with joyful deep and transformative psychological work. We articulate our attachments, both trivial and profound, even including to enlightenment itself, and then release these, which paradoxically, allows them to occur. Many people including almost all Tibetan Buddhists from the most sophisticated to the simplest, including the Dalai Lama, maintain their deep connection with this feminine manifestation of the divine, who acts swiftly and confers compassion, enlightened action, liberation, emotional and physical healing and long life. Through working with the extraordinary energies of Red Tara we are able to ease the blockages to achievements in work, in life and in emotional and physical health, bring about order and flow in our lives and work towards achieving the essential state of reality and become enlightened. The retreat is held over Beltane or May Day, a festival of fecundity when the forces of heaven penetrate the earth (represented in traditional England by the Maypole). We will celebrate May Day with celtic ancient chants and practice and harness these forces using sound as the bridge between the worlds to connect to the source of power through the instrument of our own voice and purify the body, the elements and past karma. In Tibetan Buddhism, the ultimate liberation is to transform the elements of the body into the essence of their substance - the rainbow colours and ultimately achieve the rainbow body.
