Sound Journeys are an opportunity to experience the power of sound in a collective context, allowing the participants to be immersed by deep and powerful soundscapes, guiding to an inner journey, helping to amplify the vision of life in a wider scale, plus offering a deep relaxing experience yet energizing and grounding. Ceremonial chanting, deep voice, drums, gongs, himalayan and crystal bowls, bells, and much more!... The Journey will start with a greeting to the four corners of the Heart, and a call to our Ancestors to guide us in the journey. Each session the focus of the ceremony will be emphasized on different aspects of life related to the animal medicine wheel of the specific day, and for this one we will also be deepening with our connection to the Imbolc date on Thursday 2 February 2012 If you feel the call, come and join this great growing family and fly with us wherever the Mother will take us! :) Imbolc is the celebration of is an Irish festival marking the beginning of spring. Imbolc was one of the cornerstones of the Celtic calendar. For the ancient celts the success of the new farming season was of great importance. As winter stores of food were getting low Imbolc rituals were performed to harness divine energy that would ensure a steady supply of food until the harvest six months later. Like many Celtic festivals, the Imbolc celebrations centred around the lighting of fires. Fire was perhaps more important for this festival than others as it was also the holy day of Brigid (also known as Bride, Brigit, Brid), the Goddess of fire, healing and fertility. The lighting of fires celebrated the increasing power of the Sun over the coming months. The evening will be hosted by Suzanne Harris (Soundsphere) and Anthar Kharana (Tribal Sound Healing).
