Love using your voice? Want to enrich your life with it and improve your connection to yourself and others in a safe and honouring space? I am running a series of 6 workshops called INTERVAL ORACLE starting from Thursday May 18th to Thursday June 22nd as a pilot scheme for True North Health non profit CIC. Throughout time and culture sound was considered a core component of education (alongside maths, philosophy and ethics) in many ancient mystery schools. Aside from the obvious benefits of using the voice to boost the immune system, oxygenate the blood, and destress the body, sound has a history of being a bridge to connect us from the earthly to the divine. Conscious use of sound can facilitate a deep sense of holistic transformation, wellbeing and connectivity that benefits all. In these current times of fear and uncertaintity, increasing institutional power abuse, and increasing systemic dis-eases using music and sound as a conscious tool for to centre/recentre power in our own bodies is a gift and a tactic. Mixing in depth theoretical knowledge of music in a playful way that is accessible for absolute beginners, with practical techniques and meditations the classes over the 6 weeks will cover many ways of using the voice therapeutically: Sounding your own note. Why pitching and toning is good for the brain and the body and how to do it. What are scales and modes and can they be used therapeutically? Learning therapeutic applications for intervals. Learn 5 element theory and how to apply it directly to the body. Learn how to detox the organs with sound. Workshops Every Thursday May- June 2017: 18th May: Introduction and The Basics of Pitching, Toning and Tuning. 25th May: Organ Detoxing with Sound. 1st May: Universe in One Note 8th June: The Tantra of Sound. 15th June: The Lydian mode and dolphins 22nd June: Summer Solstice Soundbath Each class lasts for two hours - from 7-9pm. Of course it is recommended to come for all 6 but you can just come for any of the individual classes if they sing to you! There are also 3 tiers of payment to allow access . Pricing: Waged - £20 Financially Flowing - £30. Concessions ( unwaged/student) - £12. There is a 15% discount if all 6 are signed up for in advance. Safe and inclusive environment.
