Meditation drumming circle. Join us and share the rhythms of the drums, relax to the sounds on tibetan bowls and experience the bonding within the circle sharing the language beyond words, music! £12 per session or £40 if you book the 4 monthly sessions in advance. We are located at the beautiful 1st floor studio of Hornsey Parish Church. An old wooden space with high ceilings and arched windows. The acoustics are awesome! Session starts in a candle room, with a smudge ritual to correct our energies, followed by a sound bath meditation with Tibetan bowls. This will leave you grounded and focus on the time and place we are, forgetting your life and world outside. Drum circle: Intro to the sounds of the Djembe. Call and response. Rhythms from many world tribes. Solo and improvisation. No previous experience needed. Everyone is welcome. We end the session with a short intro to Overtones. A Tibetan and Mongolian way of singing that brings out the crystal sounds within your voice. An amazing and healing experience. Bring water (you'll get thirsty) and comfortable clothing. The entrance is at the back of the church, from Park Rd (right in front of the bus stop).Doors open at 7.00 and closes at 7.25pm. Don't be late as once the meditation starts, we won't be able to let you in. You need to book your space. If you don't have a drum I can provide it if you let me know in advance.
