World renowned musicians, teachers & therapeutic sound practitioners Michael & Candida have created a special evening for their return to the Special Yoga Centre. They will be sonically exploring the Eight Auspicious Symbols, Astamangala, of Buddhism, through Celestial Harmonic Overtone Singing, Song, Transformational Gong Journeys, Divine Tibetan Singing Bowls, Sacred Mantra Chanting, Native American Flutes, Shamanic drumming, Mongolian Horse Head Fiddle and more..
Michael Ormiston has been studying Khöömii (Mongolian Overtone Singing) for 20 years travelling to Mongolia six times where he learnt from masters of the Mongolian tradition. There he was initiated into sacred and secular aspects of this amazing way of connecting to the power of the voice. Michael leads workshops, evenings & therapy sessions in Meditation & Deep Listening using Tibetan Singing Bowls, Gongs & Sacred Sound instruments.
Candida Valentino is the only British woman to perform “Kharkhiraa, an undertone style of singing that has strong connections with shamanistic practices of Mongolia and Tuva. For the past two years she has been developing her passion for sacred geometry and creates her own Mandalas/Yantras based on her love of colour, shape, nature and her study of The Tantric arts. This music expresses her journey of a deep change and learning, bringing back balance, harmony and truth to her everyday life.
